AARON WESTON
PERSONAL TRAINING
I have 10 years of fitness experience and 16 professional qualifications. I come from a foot balling background playing centre back for various non league and semi professional clubs, I box, I run, and I row.
The key to a healthier you is balance, health and fitness is a lifestyle not simply a hour session in the gym or studio with a personal trainer. As a personal trainer more than anything my job is to inspire people to a healthier or fitter lifestyle than they are currently in.
As a nutritional advisor I have keen interest in food and cooking, giving my clients pointers on eating healthy is very important as the most have confusing ideas and visions on healthy eating. Eating well should be made convenient and realistic for a individual to be able to sustain it for a period of time to see the benefits.
I have trained alongside some the biggest names in sport and health and fitness. I won’t say I know it all but my job as a personal trainer is to know enough to build effective training strategy’s for individuals seeking healthier and fitter lifestyles. With personal training should come effective use of the time that you are given to workout in. So the aim is to get you doing as much as you can safely and effectively for results.
Trying to get a client to burn 600 + calories a session is a target and the view is not to exert all your reserves so you are unable to train for a week or so. This would be deemed as overtraining and what use would 900 + calories a week be compared to 4/5 600 + calorie sessions which realistically is needed to see results.
I like to pay a lot of attention to form and technique, many people and so called trainers create an illusion of making a client feel they have achieved something if they have lifted the heaviest weight, but if poor form or technique is executed the gains will be none existent and you are leaving yourself open to injury.
A sharp eye on form techniques and angles of movement are imperative as this is what produces the curves shapes and muscles on the bodies we idealise. Becoming fitter is mind over matter and a good push in the right direction. Great footballers play till the whistle. Good sportsmen play a great game until the last second. What I implement into my clients is to train and retain the same form and technique till the end.
